Holy moly! I haven’t done a fitness post in forever! When I started A Happimess Life back in October, I wanted to include weekly fitness posts. I did for a little while and then kinda got in a fitness creative rut. Well, I’m BACK!! Fitness and fashion are both a huge part of my life. I have a passion for both so it’s only natural to include both on my blog. If you’re new around here, I’d like to mention that I have a background in both! I have a personal training certification and I worked for years in the fashion industry in NYC.
I am a huge advocate for living a healthy and active lifestyle. I don’t preach fitness but I just love it! As a mom and 30 something year old, it has not only done wonders for my body but also my mind and soul. I swear that it makes me sane! I call it “mom medicine”. On most days, I am a gym goer. I love classes. I hate cardio equipment! As a mom of toddlers, I can’t always get to the gym. It used to give me anxiety if I couldn’t make it to the gym, but now I just roll with it. Sometimes you have to get creative. Yesterday, the weather was perfection! 60’s and sunny in February in NJ means get outside immediately and enjoy…because we will probably get 2 feet of snow in a few days, ya never know!
I created a fun playground workout that gives mama a workout while the littles can play. Give it a try and get outside and enjoy some fresh air!
Playground Workout
Warm up by playing tag or jogging with the kids or baby jogger.

- Burpees
- Step ups
- Knee ins (Plank position with feet on swing)
- Pikes(Plank position with feet on swing)
- Tricep dips
- Pushups
- Squat Jumps
- Walking lunges
- Thrusters(squat + press)
