Living in the northeast my whole life, I feel like I have become an expert on cold weather dressing. In New Jersey, we have our cold winters with occasional blizzards. What really makes me a self proclaimed expert on cold weather attire is where I went to college. I spent 4 glorious years at Saint Bonaventure University( Go Bonnies!), in Olean, NY. Where is Olean, NY? Oh, its just a tiny little town in the south western tier of NY state. It’s basically the frozen tundra of the state. It literally snows from October till April. And it’s cold AF! After thawing out from college, I started working in NYC. If you have ever commuted/worked in the city in the winters, you know how cold and gross the city streets can get. Good boots are essential! So, this all being said…I know the right winter weather boots! I have tried many different boots. My go to boots right now are Sorel and Sperry for those super cold, bone chilling days. They are perfect for trekking through the snow. And they have a classic style. Hunter rain boots are great too for milder winter weather and rainy days. I would recommend getting high wool socks or the Hunter boot socks for the winter. My feet would get cold in the Hunter boots without a warm pair of socks. I am not a cold weather lover by any means. But having a good pair of boots will certainly make the colder weather bearable. And these particular boots will last forever! So even though you my be spending a little more money, they will last season after season. Now bring on the snow!
