I am a lover of tablescapes! I am so inspired by well put together, pinterest worthy tables. From formal to casual, I tend to love them all! Since there are so many Thanksgiving tablescapes to choose from, I thought it would be fun to style a kids table for Thanksgiving! And after styling it, I kinda want to sit at the kids table this year!
This Thanksgiving we actually have more kids than adults…which is kind of scary. I decided to use my dining room table to design the tablescape because it’s better to photograph, but we do have an extra fold out table for the kids that we put in the living room. To keep the kids busy, I bought kraft paper from Amazon to line the table. I found really cute paper plates, activity placemats, and napkins for the kids too. And how amazing are the rose gold plastic cutlery! I took away are nicer, white dining room chairs and replaced them with folding wood chairs with throw pillows. And I added a fun flannel blanket on the bench. To decorate the centerpiece of the table, I used things I had around the house. I used a plaid scarf of mine, pumpkins leftover from Halloween, and mason jars. I used a vintage gingham ribbon to tie around the jars and added flowers from Trader Joe’s. It was super easy and fun!! I picture the kids sitting around this table wearing handmade Pilgram and Indian hats enjoying their Thanksgiving meals. But let’s be real, they will probably be causing a ruckus, throwing food at each other, and having toddler tantrums. We wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s our crazy, loving, wild family and we get to spend the holidays together! And…that’s why we have wine!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
